Vedic sanskrit is a a group of vernacular dialects in which vedas, brahmanas, upanishads are composed.Sanskrit per se is a standardised and purified perfected form of one of its dialect. Vedic ceased to be a spoken language and gave its way to middle indo aryan dialects which when came in contact with dravidian vernaculars and munda langages formed Prakrit.which later gave its way to apabhramsha which later gave birth to modern indo aryan languages like konkani, marathi, hindi etc. Nijgoykar (talk) 11:07, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
