Articles which have potential, but which do not yet meet Wikipedia's quality standards, may be moved to thea subpage of a [[WikipediaWP:DraftsUser pages|user space]] namespace, where they may continue to be collaboratively edited before either "graduating" to mainspace or ultimately being deleted. Incubation provides several benefits over the previous practice of moving such articles into [[WP:User pages|user space]]. Primarily, the Draft namespace makes these proto-articles easier to find and edit. User-spacing is still often done with [[WP:Template|templates]] that seem to serve a single editor's needs, and [[WP:Essay|essays]] that only reflect a particular editor's viewpoint, in lieu of deleting them.

As of April 3, 2010, a [[WP:BLPPROD|proposed deletion process for unsourced biographies]] was established, requiring all [[WP:BLP|biographies of living persons]] created after March 18, 2010, to have at least one [[WP:reliable source|reliable source]] that supports at least one statement about the subject. Once the article is tagged in this manner, the {{tl|prod blp}} tag may not be removed until such a source is provided. If none is forthcoming, the article may be deleted after 7 days. This does not affect any other deletion process.
