Konkani is written in fourfive scripts: Devanagari, Roman, Kannada, Malayalam and MalayalamPerso-Arabic. Out of these, the Konkani Wikipedia has the largest number of pages in Devanagari, followed by a comparable number in Roman, and a few in Kannada. Since many users are familiar with only one script, it is desirable to have a script converter which would enable pages written in any one script to be read in any other.
